Mounting Center Board Box

The new center board box is finished on the inside and mounted to the keelson

Mounted for Good

After finishing the inside the center board box is mounted for good.

Paint...

The poly marine paint is on top of the special epoxy primer. I coated it with 2 thick layers.

Test Run...

Just in case... I tested the center board box for size. Lucky! Everything seems to fit.

Guides...

The aluminum guides will hold the center board in place and will prevent the inside from getting scratched. They are mounted with stainless screws.

22 holes...

Now that should hold. I was able to use the old brass bolts...

Clamped Through

By separating them I was able to clamp the centerboard right to the keelson. I left it over night until the epoxy was dry.
